The Siemens S7-1200 CPU 1217C DC/DC/DC is the highest-capacity controller in the S7-1200 series, designed for advanced automation systems with demanding logic, analog, and motion control requirements. With 125 KB of internal program memory and 2 MB of data memory, it supports complex routines, modular programming, and extensive data handling capabilities. Operating on 24 V DC, this model features 20 digital inputs and 16 high-speed transistor outputs, allowing it to drive fast-switching loads and execute motion commands such as pulse train outputs with great precision. Analog capability is also built-in, with 2 analog voltage inputs (0–10 V) and 2 analog current outputs (0–20 mA), reducing reliance on external modules for process control. The CPU is equipped with dual PROFINET ports, providing seamless integration into Ethernet-based control systems and real-time communication with HMIs, drives, and other PLCs.
