Delta AS228P-A
The Delta AS228P‑A is a high‑performance controller within Delta’s AS Series (AS200 family), featuring a proprietary 32‑bit SoC CPU capable of executing up to 40 k steps/ms, with LD instructions as fast as ~25 ns and MOV operations in approximately 0.15 µs.
It provides a compact & modular design with built‑in I/O—16 digital inputs and 12 PNP transistor outputs—and supports expansion up to 1,024 total I/O points via up to 32 extension modules. Motion support includes up to 6‑axis high‑speed pulse outputs (200 kHz) and 4‑channel high‑speed counters; plus CANopen control for up to 8 axes via servo network. Communications feature Ethernet (100 Mbps), USB, and two RS‑485 ports, alongside integrated CANopen, supporting Modbus RTU/ASCII, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP (128 TCP, 256 CIP connections). A micro‑SD card slot enables backup, data logging, and firmware updates; plus RTC with NTP sync, system diagnostics, web/email/IP‑filter functions, and optional redundant CPU switchover (~20 ms).
